Mount Tom Lodge

April 24, 1937
Past Masters night. D. D. G. Master Arthur N. Julian was present and duly received. According to the records the Old Timers did a good job. Of particular interest was the raising of Andrew B. Hogg by his brother William B. Hogg, Past Master of the Lodge.

May 14, 1937
An unusual meeting was held in that both William Whiting and Mount Nonotuck officers took part in the degree work. First was a reception to the D.D.G. Master R. W. Bro. Arthur N. Julian. Then the officers of Mount Nonotuck Lodge assumed the stations and worked the first section of the Master Masons degree. The officers of William Whiting Lodge assumed the chairs and worked the rest of the degree.

Officers were installed by R. W. Bro. Dunbar as the installing officer who in his remarks spoke of the length of service of some of the officers. R. W. Brooks, Treasurer, was installed for the 27th time, Bro. Thomas C. Auld, Organist, 31 times, Bro. Walter Crosby, Tyler, 19 times and R. W. Robert Gillette, Secretary, 10 times. R. W. Arthur N. Julian, D. D.'G. Master, gave an interesting talk and presented Bro. James Robinson with a Veterans Medal He also stated that Bro. Charles Short who has been a Mason for 67 years would be presented a veterans medal at his present home in Cambridge. Brother Short joined Jerusalem Lodge in 1879, later, became a charter member of Hampshire Lodge. Still later he moved to Holyoke and affiliated with Mount Tom.
