Special communication called at 2:30 P.M. Attendance 345. "The Lodge having opened the W. Master announced the purpose was to attend the funeral of Bro. Daniel J. Gallivan of Hancock Lodge No.311, Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. After the lodge service the brethren formed a procession and marched to Forestdale Cemetery where the remains of our late brother were deposited with full Masonic Honors in the Masonic lot. A firing squad from the military attended and fired a salute over the grave." A footnote reads, "The above brother was thrice buried, once in Fort George Wright, Wash. Then in Holyoke where his body was brought at the request of an aunt, but on finding he was a Mason (the apron on the body), the Priest refused to recognize so his remains were left for the Potters Field. Then by Mount Tom Lodge as above."April 5, 1918
As a result of the death of Wor. Bro. Lewis M. Richard there were vacancies in the roster of officers to be filled and Wor. Bro. J. E. Bronson was elected a Trustee, Wor. Bro. A. A. Brooks as Proxy to the Grand Lodge and Walter P. Crosby as Tyler.
