"M. W. G. Master Samuel C. Lawrence and suite being in waiting was received in the usual manner."   "He assumed the Master's Chair and addressed the Lodge on the subject of commutation. He first read all about the building of the Temple in Boston. The lodge voted unanimously to assume and pay the capitution tax of June 11th, 1879 for all its members who have not individually commuted it and that the Treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to borrow money sufficient for that purpose and give the note or notes of the Lodge therefor at a rate of interest riot exceeding six per cent per annum."
"Voted the tax so assessed is hereby assessed upon the present uncommuted and future members of the Lodge, payable in equal annual installments of one dollar per year until 1894 inclusive."

Installation of officers. Past Master's jewel presented to the retiring Master also to one who had served in 1868 & 9. First reference to such a presentation.
